At Iguazu Falls, good planning makes a real difference

The Brazilian and Argentine sides are very different. Park hours, distances, crowds and the border crossing can all affect how your day unfolds.

Start at the right time

Depending on the day and season, starting a little earlier can mean less waiting and a more enjoyable visit.

Coordinate both sides carefully

Brazil and Argentina offer very different experiences. Planning the two sides around your schedule matters, especially when your time is limited.

Allow enough time to get around

Distances, transportation inside the parks and transfers often take longer than first-time visitors expect.

Plan ahead for the border crossing

If your trip includes both countries, the border crossing needs to be factored into the day along with the required travel documents.

The goal isn’t to rush through everything. It’s to use your time well and actually enjoy Iguazu Falls.

What we handle for you

We plan the details around your schedule and the sides you want to visit, so you can spend less time figuring things out and more time enjoying Iguazu Falls.

It was a great pleasure to spend the day with Hakim. As we are from Canada and were looking for a French-speaking guide, we were lucky to find his services. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfect. He is calm, knows the region extremely well and gives excellent advice. I highly recommend him.

Founder of Iguassu By Local

A local tour company built on years of experience at Iguazu Falls

Iguassu By Local was founded by Hakim Allaki, a local guide based in Foz do Iguaçu since 2011. Years spent guiding international travelers on both the Brazilian and Argentine sides helped shape the way the company works today.

Every private tour is planned around the traveler’s schedule, pace, available time and the practical details of visiting both countries. The goal is simple: make the experience well organized, personal and easy to enjoy.

Depending on your dates, language and itinerary, your tour may be led by Hakim or by one of the experienced English- or French-speaking guides selected by Iguassu By Local. Hakim remains involved in planning and guide selection, helping ensure that each tour reflects the same standards the company was built on.

About Iguassu By Local

Questions travelers often ask before booking

Do I need a guide to visit Iguazu Falls?

No. Both parks can be visited independently. A private tour is mainly useful if you want help with timing, transportation, the border crossing and planning the two sides around your schedule.

How much time should I plan for Iguazu Falls?

Two days is the most comfortable option if you want to experience both the Brazilian and Argentine sides without rushing. If you have less time, we can help you decide which option makes the most sense for your trip.

Can I visit Brazil and Argentina in one day?

It can be done in some situations, but it depends on your schedule, border conditions and how much of each park you want to see. For most travelers, one side per day offers a more relaxed experience.

Can Iguassu By Local help with the border crossing?

Yes. If your itinerary includes both countries, we factor the border crossing into the schedule and help you understand the logistics. Travelers remain responsible for having the travel documents and entry requirements required for their nationality.

Are private transfers available?

Yes. Private transportation can be included when needed, including hotel and airport transfers and transportation for your visits to the falls.

Who will be my private guide?

Your guide is selected according to your dates, language and itinerary. Tours are led by Hakim or by one of the experienced English- or French-speaking guides selected by Iguassu By Local. Hakim remains involved in planning and guide selection to help maintain the service standards the company was built on.

How do I get a personalized proposal?

Send us your travel dates, number of travelers, hotel or city of stay, and whether you want to visit Brazil, Argentina or both. We’ll reply with a proposal based on your trip.
